Peter Gibb started his career at age 15 in the mailroom of BBDO, London, eventually becoming Head Art Director. Accounts he was responsible for were Sony Electronics, Toyota, Abbot Mead Vickers, Volvo, Leagas Delaney, Philips Electronics, ICI, Lancia Cars and Hennessey Cognac.
Saatchi & Saatchi, London, Group Creative Director. Accounts included British Rail, Silk Cut Cigarettes, Castlemaine XXXX Australian Beer, Schweppes and The British Conservative Party’s campaign for Margaret Thatcher’s re-election.
In 1991, Peter left London to join Young & Rubicam, New York, as a Creative Director. He was responsible for Dupont, Kraft General Foods (International Coffees, Breyers Ice Cream, Breakstones and Jello).
In 1994, Peter started his own consultancy, Gibb, Kelley & Partners, working as creative and strategic partners to all of the big agency groups and agencies such as BBDO, Ogilvy & Mather, Grey, Saatchi & Saatchi and Cliff Freeman. The consultancy was hired by D’Arcy Detroit to help reposition General Motors’ relaunch of the newly designed Cadillac brand. Hallmark hired the consultancy in the development of their new interactive greeting card division, reporting directly to CEO Bob Halmi, G, K & P was also agency of record for The Greg Norman Menswear Collection, Response Auto Insurance and the New York Hospital Association.
Peter has shot TV and print all over the world including Papua New Guinea, Hong Kong, Iceland and Australia.
Peter’s major awards include Silver D&AD Pencils, Cannes Gold & Bronze Lions, Silver Campaign Press Awards, Gold & Silver Campaign Billboard Awards and Silver British Television Awards.
